About 20 years ago, I was helping to clean our
church building. A small bird had flown in and was unable to find
its way out through the small door at the back of the building.
Instead it flew from side to side in the roof of the building. It
refused to take any notice of our attempts to try to "guide" it
towards the door. Almost in exasperation I said to God, "God if it
doesn't get out it will die please help it ." the words had barely
left my lips when the bird flew straight down to the floor in the
centre of the church then took off and flew straight down to the
back and out through the door. I was reminded of how Jesus told us
about God caring for His creation and how much more He cares for us,
His children. (Luke 12:24 and 12:28)
